Dr Jeremy Chung Bo Chiang
Professional Bio
Dr Jeremy Chiang is a postdoctoral research associate at the School of Optometry, College of Health and Life Sciences in Aston University, Birmingham UK. His expertise lies in ocular surface imaging, particularly of the corneal nerves, in the diagnosis and management of ocular surface conditions including dry eye disease. His research vision aims to see how different parts of our eyes could reflect ocular and systemic health. His PhD having focussed on how chemotherapeutic drugs which damage nerves in the hands and feet could also affect nerves in the cornea. He has received numerous clinical research awards for his work including the Tow Coast Association Health and Medical Research Early Career Award, and has presented at multiple national and international conferences. He has also worked as a clinical optometrist in Australia and serves as an adjunct lecturer at his alma mater, the School of Optometry and Vision Science at the University of New South Wales.
