Dr Daniel Tilia
Professional Bio
Daniel Tilia is the Principal Research Optometrist for nthalmic Pty Ltd, Sydney, and an Adjunct Lecturer at the School of Optometry and Vision Science, UNSW Medicine, Sydney. His current research interests include contact lens and spectacle options for myopia management.
Daniel has published over 30 papers and over 40 scientific abstracts, spanning the areas of contact lenses, binocular vision disorders, lens care solutions, vision correction devices, and ophthalmic instrumentation.
Daniel is a member of several professional associations including the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia, Optometry Australia, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the British Contact Lens Association.
Daniel was educated at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), graduating with a Bachelor of Optometry (Hons) in 1990, a Master of Optometry in 1999, a Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics in 2012, and a Doctor of Philosophy in 2021.
